Electrical Generation

• There are many possible methods for generating electrical energy. Some you have learned about in class, while others may be new to you. This assignment will ask you to become a spokesperson for a company that wishes to earn a contract to build an electrical generating facility (power plant), using a particular energy resource. Once you have been assigned your energy resource, find out some information about how it works and what factors you would have to consider as you make your sales pitch.
• You will be expected to share your sales pitch with the class. Make sure that you provide enough factual information for the audience to understand your energy resource. Compare and contrast it with other resources to give perspective. Although you will want to emphasize the advantages of your proposal, you must also provide honest information about the disadvantages of your energy resource. Where and how would you build it to capitalize on its advantages and minimize its disadvantages? What is the best market for your product?
• The format of your sales pitch could integrate images and text, if that opens up creative opportunities for you!
